A short little rumination based on the Velox Fabula theme ("You shouldn't be here") because while I had no time to join the jam (nor did I have any idea what to make for it... and the fact that it's long since passed), I really liked its prompt. So it's free real estate. Additionally, this story was meant to be an entry to the Dying Year jam (due to featuring an afterlife, of a sort—as well as a bunch of navel gazing, but that's neither here nor there), but I also missed that jam too.
